It's been a good week for runner Jimmy Clark.

The senior at Creekside High School and The Record's reigning cross country and track athlete of the year notched the biggest victory of his career Saturday.

Clark won the Foot Locker South Regional cross country event in Charlotte, N.C., covering the 3.1-mile course in 14 minutes, 55 seconds. That was enough for a 3-second margin of victory over Blake Williams, a runner from Northern Durham (N.C.).
