There was no suspense in the girls championship race at the Foot Locker South regional.

The first four girls -- Kathryn and Erika Fluehr of Florida, Rachel Johnson TX, and Joanna Thompson TN -- gapped the field and each other in the first mile (passed in 5:19) and held fast to the finish in 17:06 and 17:10.  The Fluehr twins, seniors at the Community School of Naples (Naples, Fla.) reversed their finish in the Florida 1A state meet.
